The Hightower Report said, “Hot temperatures across the central plains will remain in place through the weekend but longer range models are showing a cooldown later this month which pushes the heat back to the Southwest U.S. Precipitation over the next week will be heaviest in Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin and eastern South Dakota with mostly dry conditions elsewhere.”
